Cabbage

I believed some of u, especially Chinese, must have eaten this dish before at home or during special occasions such as Chinese New Year. I like this dish. My mum cooked this before, but she used more ‘expensive’ ingredients of course. As a poor student away from home, I can only get cheaper ingredients to make this~ haha… Anyway, these chinese cabbage parcels tasted nice too~

Ingredients:
10 pieces chinese cabbage – washed, drained and blanched
10 pieces spring onion – washed, drained and blanched
1 piece ham – cut into 10 strips
3 black mushrooms – cut into 10 strips
5 chicken drumsticks – deboned and cut into 10 strips
1 carrot – cut into 10 strips

Sauce:
1 tbsp concentrated chicken stock
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1/2 tsp sugar
~200mL water
Dash of pepper
Dash of cornstarch

1. Place a piece of blanched chinese cabbage on a plate. Arrange ham, black mushroom, chicken and carrot on top. Roll up and tie with spring onion. Repeat for others.
2. Steam the chinese cabbage parcels over high heat for 15mins. Remove.
3. Pour the sauce into a pan, bring to boil and cook until thick. Drizzle the sauce over the chinese cabbage parcels. Serve~
