Get Rid Of Yeast Infection

It is perfectly natural for your body to host fungi such as yeast. Most people find this quite surprising but small quantities of yeast are always present in and on your body. The problems occur when there is too much of the fungus and it causes an infection. Knowing about what helps the yeast to grow and become excessive will help you avoid the condition in the future.

Yeast lives and thrives in warm and damp areas so it is those same areas of the body that are susceptible to yeast growth. Always wearing clean and dry underwear will reduce the chances of infections developing though it won’t be a yeast cure. Wearing underclothes made of synthetic materials will cause problems especially if they are tight fitting. Wearing clothing such as this can aid yeast growth because it helps provide the right conditions for yeast to thrive. Cotton is a better material for allowing your body to breathe and dry out. It should also go without saying that you should always wear clean panties each day.

The connection between diabetes and yeast growth is surprising but logical. Women who are not very good at controlling their diabetes very well have a greater chance of developing yeast growth. Extra sugar in the urine helps provide the conditions the yeast fungus loves. It may be beneficial to reduce your sugar intake even if you don’t suffer from diabetes.

Scented toilet paper, scented tampons, and other feminine deodorant sprays can also make life more comfortable for yeast to grow leading to yeast infections. Get out of your sweaty damp clothing after playing sports as the dampness encourages yeast.

Everyone has a certain amount of yeast present in our body at all times and this is natural. We do benefit from them so taking antibiotics kills good bacteria along with the ones we want to get rid of. The use of antibacterial soap can kill off some of the helpful bacteria we need. It may be a good idea to avoid using soap on your vaginal area as the dyes and perfumes used in the manufacture of the soap might mess up your pH balance and harm sensitive skin.

Keep in mind the possibility that your detergent may be causing problems and maybe change to a different one for a while to see. Change your brand to see if that solves your problems. Beneficial bacteria may be killed off if you use douches so cut down or stop using them if you are concerned. So, to sum up, antibiotics or antibacterial deodorants may reduce your bodies resources for fighting a yeast infection.

Chemotherapy can lead to problems with yeast infections. If you are taking immunosuppressive drugs they may increase the likelihood of developing yeast infections. Cortisone based drugs may also reduce your chances of resisting a yeast infection.

You may be more likely to develop yeast infections during your period and during pregnancy. When wearing pads or tampons during periods they should be changed quite often. If you are sick you may be more likely to develop yeast infections as your resistance will be low. The summary is that yes you can do some things that help prevent yeast infections and you can find some natural cures for yeast infections but you cannot entirely eliminate the possibility of infections developing.
